Healthy living these days includes a lot of attention to certain types of diets, and supplement companies are rolling in with their specially developed diet-inclusive supplements!
For example, in our Vega Sport Pre Workout Energizer Review, we’re going to be introducing you to a vegan inspired pre workout supplement!
Vega Sport focuses a lot on their company branding. They don’t do the whole chic and sleek appeal. They go for friendly and warm. Kind of like you’re visiting a lush green garden.
I like things like that, they have an aesthetic and they stick to it!
This kind of aesthetic was also applied to their pre workout supplement, the Energizer. Fairly simplistic as far as naming goes but they do keep their product packaging in style with their whole nature thing.
Of course, aesthetics aside. What we really need to focus on, is the formula! Considering the kind of restraints put upon by the fact that they adjusted this to meet vegan standards, will it be able to match up with the rest?
Well, that’s what we’re going to be going through in our Vega Sport Pre Workout Energizer Review! Continue reading to learn more.
The biggest things to think about, when it comes to products like this, is the kind of formula that they’re serving out.
Of course, as a pre workout, it should do regular pre workout things. Boost your energy, help you recover quickly, allow better nutrient flow, etc.
However, some supplement companies idealize their claims to fit their own aesthetics. That, falls into line with what we’re going to be covering down below.
Better Caffeine Dose
The first thing on their list of ‘claims,’ is the caffeine content in their formula. It’s actually not so shocking to me that they included something like this.
These days, low-caffeine pre workouts or pre workouts with 0 caffeine, are getting more and more popular.
The reason being is, although caffeine is very good and used by all sorts of supplements (like the number 1 pre workout supplement 4 gauge), is the risk of side-effects.
People who are sensitive to caffeine, in particular, find it really difficult to take the kind of stimulant-packed supplements that are all over the market.
So, 100 mg caffeine? It’s a pretty straightforward claim and not one we really agree with.
14 grams premium carbohydrate fuel
Admittedly, much like the previous ‘claim,’ this is more of an announcement to what’s inside of their formula. They have carbohydrates in here, which are after all the best energy source.
It’s an odd choice, but I suppose it just plays as part of their motif. They add a little something natural like this, to help keep your energy up in ways that most pre workouts don’t.
No artificial flavors, colors, or sweeteners
This kind of just plays into their clean and natural motif. However, believe it or not, using all-natural flavors, colors, and/or sweeteners is pretty common these days.
This is true for a lot of the more popular pre workouts and it makes sense. You want to get big in a healthy way. It’s just something demanded by the people that take supplements like these.
Or, in other words, people who are extremely health conscious like you.
Gluten-free and Vegan certified
Again, this is something that plays really well with their natural motif. However, much like the previous claim, this doesn’t necessarily make them special. You see a lot of pre workouts with gluten-free/vegan certified tags these days.
It’s just the name of the game. The true question is, will their formula be able to stand apart from the competition? Well, let’s look at their ingredients to find out!
Vega Sport Pre Workout Energizer Ingredients
Coconut Seed Oil
The first real ingredient on their list, is the coconut seed oil. This isn’t a regular pre workout ingredient, but we do see it around every now and then. Although, it is mostly used inside of fat burners.
It should be said, that this ingredient is largely unproven. There are not many studies done on the subject. Although, there were a couple that saw minimal benefits when it was applied at 10 -15 grams.
Vega Sport Pre Workout Energizer doesn’t have this dose.
The Green Tea, I’m assuming, in this formula is probably where they’re getting the 100 mg caffeine. Of course, Green Tea isn’t normally used for that purpose.
If you’re looking for energy-boosting stuff, then caffeine anhydrous or guarana extract is best.
Green Tea, much like the previous ingredient, is more popular as a fat burning ingredient.
Although, again much like the previous, there isn’t really enough of it here in order to promote its promised fat burning benefits.
At most, you might get a little buzz of energy from the caffeine content.
As far as ingredients go, this one is not really one of the most well known. We do see it in the occasional supplement here and there though. Mainly for its supposed abilities to help reduce effects of fatigue.
Either way, it’s still unproven, and could benefit from some more research before we recommend it.
Once more, we get an oddball of an ingredient here. One that we don’t normally see inside of pre workouts.
Ginseng, in particular, is usually better known for its libido-boosting benefits. Which begs the question as to why its inside of this pre workout supplement.
How to take Vega Sport Pre Workout Energizer
The Vega Sport Pre Workout Energizer comes with around 30 servings per container. Each serving is one-scoop of powder, which is meant to be mixed in with your drinks and taken at least 30 minutes before working out.
However, there is an option to get this pre workout in a variety of forms. The most common of which is the ‘packets.’ They also come in a variety of flavors, the most popular of which is the Acai Berry.
Side Effects and Negatives of Vega Sport Pre Workout Energizer
As a supplement that’s targeted more for people who are particular about staying healthy, it’s not surprising that all their ingredients are 100% natural.
What is surprising, is that they managed to cut out most of the usual risks as well. So, this is a 100% clean pre workout.
Vega Sport Pre Workout Energizer Review Conclusion
Alright! This is the end of our Vega Sport Pre Workout Energizer Review!
Ultimately, Vega Sport did a good job when it came to stepping out of the box. They wanted to be that alternative.
They used good ingredients and nature-themed aesthetics, and are proud of the cleanliness and the quality of the ingredients that they chose.
No one can deny that their formula is vegan-friendly.
However, when it comes to actually helping you pump up for your workouts? Well… I was honestly not all that impressed. Their ingredient choices were whacked out, and not in a good way!
They have a little bit of everything in here. Some fat burning ingredients, libido boosters, etc.
Unfortunately, even then, most of those ingredients were underdosed.
So yes, the whole idea of being a vegan alternative, well that part was great!
BUT the execution of their vision could have definitely been improved upon.
It’s just a little too weak for my taste. I would prefer something more powerful!
